Gare de Nice CP is a small railway station in Nice, France which was opened in December 1991. It is the terminus of the metre gauge Chemins de Fer de Provence line from Digne-les-Bains to Nice, replacing the old Gare du Sud station which was built in 1890. The old station had been in a poor state of repair and the city council had plans for the redevelopment of the site. This meant that repairs to the old station would not be financially worthwhile, and in consequence the old station was bought by the council. The new station was built in a modernist style which contrasts with that of every other station on the route. It is served by the Nice tramway and city bus. The Gare de Nice-Ville is about 400 meters away.
