Ussel is a railway station in Ussel, Limousin, France. The station is located on the Le Palais - Eygurande-Merlines and Busseau-sur-Creuse - Ussel railway lines. The station is served by Intercités (long distance) and TER (local) services operated by the SNCF. As of Dec 2013, the line between Clermont Ferrand and Bordeaux is reportedly requiring significant investment in track renewals and subject to a number of permanent speed restrictions. The section eastwards from Ussel to Clermont Ferrand is under threat of closure. The daily Bordeaux - Lyon train inter-city service was withdrawn in 2012, leaving infrequent regional services during the week, supplemented by a Bordeaux - Clermont-Ferrand service at weekends - this is reportedly to be withdrawn in July 2014.
