Names and other islands

Garden Island, Tasmania is an island along the Huon River, but Garden Island has become the pseudonym for both Green Island, Smooth Island as well as one of the islands in within the Great Lake (Tasmania).

Gardners Island, in the Huon River, was named by the Rev R. Knopwood in 1804. It is shown under that name in the 1832 map, while a Garden or Smooth Island appears at the entrance of Norfolk Bay. =
