It is place located in the Coastal side of Karnataka. Its very near to one of the historical devotional place of Karnataka state KOLLUR MOOKAMBIKA. The place has a its own beauty because of its attractive name and scenario. The three side of the village is surrounded by the river "sumana". There are too many story behind the place name "Ganti-hole" among that one reasonable/valid story is " The river sumana before reaching arabian sea it has two branch one will come from north side of this village and one more from south these two branches will meet together here and flows through a single river to reach arabian sea. For this meeting point in Kannada language usually called "Gantu" so this called as a gantu hole later day by day it became a Ganti- hole"
