Gaius Laecanius Bassus Caecina Paetus was an aristocrat of the early Roman Empire, whose career flourished under the reign of Vespasian.

Laecanius Bassus held the fasces with Lucius Annius Bassus November-December AD 70. He is attested as consular governor of Roman Asia in 80/81. Laecanius Bassus also served on the board that managed the water supply of Rome around this time.
