G. M. Felix

Ghulam Masih Felix is a Pakistani Catholic Urdu language poet and writer. He is well known by the name Qasir Amritsari. He was born in Amritsar, India.

In 1972, in collaboration with Fr. Liberius Pieterse, he published a completely revised book NAYA GEET GAO (Sing a new song). This was a book of Christian hymns originally published in 1955 under the name HAMD-ULLAH (Praise God).

As a member of the Catholic Association of Karachi he organized an event in 1990 to recognise community members for their distinguished service in education, literature, engineering, journalism and sports.

He has served as a Member of the Advisory Board of Maktaba-e-Anaveem (Theological Institute for Laity) Pakistan.

In 1994 his book The blasphemy law was published in 3 volumes.

In 2000 Felix was the secretary of the Urdu Literature Board of Pakistan which is chaired by Bishop Andrew Francis of Multan.

On March 27, 2004 he met with Sindh Governor Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan as part of a delegation of the Christian community which discussed development works in their areas and their needs with regard to educational institutions, employment opportunities and facilities in jails for Christian prisoners.
