Günther's dwarf burrowing skink or Günther's burrowing skink (Scelotes guentheri ) is a species of skink in the family Scincidae. S. guentheri is endemic to Natal, South Africa. Limbs are greatly reduced: forelimbs are entirely lost and the hind limbs retain only two digits.
Etymology
Both the specific name, guentheri, and the common name are in honor of German-born British herpetologist Albert Günther.
