The Soleil Royal (Royal Sun) was a French ship of the line.
She was built in 1692 in Brest by Blaise Pangalo as Foudroyant ("Lightning").
In March 1693, she was renamed as Soleil Royal (the previous ship of that name having been burnt in June 1692) and brought into service.
She was scuttled in Toulon in 1707. She was later put back afloat, and sold for scrap.
