FreeFileSync is a free and open source program used for file synchronization. It is available on Windows, Linux and OS X.

FreeFileSync works by comparing one or multiple folders on their content, date or file size and subsequently synchronizing the content according to user-defined settings.

Reception

CNET.com staff praised the software for its intuitive and attractive design. It also noted: "This easy-to-use program makes file synchronization a breeze, even for novices."

Since version 5.1 the OpenCandy platform is used to present an advertisement during installation and install related software unless the user declines.
