Frederick Augustus Cooper (1 August 1834 – 12 November 1908) was an Australian politician.

He was born in Sydney to Robert and Sarah May Cooper, and was called to the bar in 1864. From 1859 to 1860 he was the member for Braidwood in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He was married to mining millionaire Margaret Watson, with whom he had six daughters. He was a member of the Bar in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, and also practised in New Zealand. Cooper died in Melbourne in 1908.
