Francisco de Salas (b.16th century) was a Spanish nobleman, served as Captain, Mayor, Councillor and Lieutenant Governor and Justice major in the Ciudad de Trinidad y Puerto de Buenos Aires.
Biography
Francisco de Salas Videla Reynoso was born in Esquivias, Toledo, the son of Juan de Salas and Susana de Barahona. He was married in Buenos Aires to Leonor Correa de Santana, daughter of Pedro Correa and Antonia Moreno (Andalusian, sister of Anton Higueras de Santana), they were the first families arrived in the Río de la Plata with in the expedition of Juan Ortiz de Zárate.
In 1588 Francisco de Salas was administrative officer of Buenos Aires. In 1602 he was appointed Lieutenant Governor and Justice major. And in 1606 was Council of the City.
Francisco Salas Reynoso, had occupied important positions of government, was appointed Alcalde and Alférez real during the Viceroyalty of Peru .
