Francisco Barrera

Francisco Barrera was a Spanish painter best known by his eloquent and successful appeal on behalf of his fellow-artists, upon whom in 1640 the Government wished to impose the taxes levied upon trade corporations. Details are known of his life, but Bryan is a bad source.
