Francis Patrick O'Brien was a New Zealand cricketer active from 1932 to 1946 who played for Canterbury and, in 1938 to 1939, for Northamptonshire (Northants). He appeared in 66 first-class matches as a righthanded batsman who bowled right arm medium pace. O'Brien was born in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand on 11 February 1911 and died there on 22 October 1991. He scored 2,649 runs with a highest score of 164, one of four centuries, and took 14 wickets with a best performance of two for 14.
