Francis Loomis


Francis B. Loomis (1812-1892) from New London, Connecticut, was an American politician of the Democratic Party who was the 38th Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut from 1877 to 1879 under Governor Richard D. Hubbard. In this function he also presided over the Connecticut Senate. He also served as President of the First National Bank in his Hometown. Since 1836 Loomis was married to Elizabeth M. Inghram (deceased in 1839). In 1839 their daughter Betsey Ingham Loomis was born.
