FFI (Football Fans Index) is a joint venture between Target Group Index and Football fans Census. Launched in May 2009, the survey merges the Football Fans Census panel of 60,000 football fans across Britain with the Target Group Index survey - allowing football fans across all English and Scottish league clubs to be analysed against consumer attitudes, motivations, media habits and purchase behaviour.

Football Fans Census is the trading name of Football Fans Central Ltd, a small [1] market research company which specialises in research into the views and opinions of English football supporters.

Target Group Index is the longest established single source marketing and media survey in Britain and was established by BMRB in 1969. TGI has since expanded into over 60 countries with over 700,000 people being interviewed every year. TGI is a key operating company within Kantar Media, in turn, is part of Kantar Group, WPP Group's insight, information and consultancy division.
