Flora Recording & Playback is a recording studio located in Portland, Oregon operated by Grammy-nominated record producer Tucker Martine.

History

Flora Recording & Playback was built in the summer 2011, shortly after the release of a pair of successful albums Martine produced, The Decemberists' The King is Dead and My Morning Jacket's Circuital.

The studio features three isolation booths and a large live room. Flora houses an API Legacy console and a variety of analog and digital audio equipment.

One of the first producers to work at Flora was T Bone Burnett, who recorded two songs for The Decemberists. One song for The Hunger Games soundtrack, and the other for an upcoming Chieftains record.

In November, Martine began working on a record for English singer-songwriter Beth Orton at Flora.
