Floodwood River is an 11.0-mile-long (17.7 km) river in Ontonagon County in the U.S. state of Michigan.

The Floodwood River rises from the highlands of southern Ontonagon Township at 46°43′13″N 89°23′04″W and flows north into Lake Superior at 46°50′58″N 89°23′51″W approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) west of the village of Ontonagon.
