First Nations Experience (FNX) is a non-profit television network for, and featuring, Native Americans in the United States by partners San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and KVCR-DT. FNX broadcasts from the San Bernardino Valley College.

History

In January 2011, KVCR and San Manuel Band of Mission Indians started planning for a native American public TV network. First Nations Experience began broadcasting on September 25, 2011. The station came to be after a 6 Million dollar gift agreement from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians over the next three years. FNX's initial programming consisted of a six-hour block of primarily documentaries rotated four times daily. The network started out with 13 staffers. the network was placed into national distribution in 2014. In January 2015, San Manuel Band donated another 6 million dollars to keep FNX on the air.
