Publication history
The firedrake first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).
The firedrake appeared in the second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Fiend Folio Appendix (1992), and appeared under the "dragonet" entry in the Monstrous Manual (1993).
Description
A firedrake is similar in appearance to a young red dragon, but is not as intelligent or as powerful as a true dragon. A firedrake will respond with its flame breath whenever something disturbs it.
Other publishers
The fire drake appeared under the "drake" heading in the Tome of Horrors (2002) from Necromancer Games.
