Fight the Flights London City Airport is a residents campaign group opposed to expansion of London City Airport, which had put in a planning application to expand flights from 76,000 to 120,000.

Newham Council's planning department controversially voted in favour to award London City Airport permission to expand.

Residents are opposed to expansion due to increased aircraft noise which would see 1 flight every 90 seconds during peak times.

Boris Johnson who is opposed to expansion of Heathrow saying it is in the wrong place, did not take action to stop expansion at London City Airport.

The Fight the Flights along with Friends of the Earth are taking Newham Council over the decision to expand.
