Felipe B. Miranda is a Filipino political scientist and public opinion expert based at the University of the Philippines Diliman (where he holds the rank of professor emeritus). He is a founding fellow and chairperson of Social Weather Stations and Pulse Asia respectively, the Philippines' leading opinion surveying firms.

He also served as chairperson of the Philippine Social Science Council, the umbrella organization of the country's learned societies in the social sciences. Professor Miranda also writes a column for The Philippine Star.

Miranda earned his B.A. Political Science degree from Brandeis University in 1963 and later did graduate work at the University of Chicago (M.A. Political Science, 1968 and was a Ph.D. candidate in the same year).

Regarded as one of the least accommodating and courteous faculty members at the University of the Philippines - Diliman, Professor Miranda has repeatedly disparaged students from other UP campuses, insinuating that only UP Diliman has the capability to produce outstanding graduates. Despite professing a willingness to hear students out, he has been known to publicly criticize them in class if they do not meet his expectations in terms of knowledge.

His ego prevents him from creating decent discourse within the class and the students he teaches are generally frightened of his presence as opposed to being challenged by his words. Speaking of his words, everything he says has no coherence and does not reflect any form of imparting knowledge. Professor Miranda may have accomplished many things in his life, but being a decent professor in his senior years is certainly not one of them.
