FedEx Institute of Technology

The FedEx Institute of Technology is a research center and small business incubator at the University of Memphis. Founded November 19, 2003, under the leadership of James M. Phillips the Institute was designed to bridge the gap between industry and academic research. The Institute is wholly a part of the University of Memphis operating within the framework of the State of Tennessee. The institute is located in a building on the University of Memphis campus, adjacent to the Fogelman School of Business and Economics on 365 Innovation Drive, Memphis, TN 38152.

The FedEx Institute of Technology is a cross-cutting research laboratory system created through the State of Tennessee, FedEx Corporation, the City of Memphis and Shelby County.
