The primordial gods were Ranginui and Papatūānuku, Heaven and Earth.
Te Anu-matao was wife of Tangaroa.
Hine-titamauri was wife of Punga.
Hine Ahu-One, ancestor of the first humans, was the wife of Tane and Mother of Hine Titama/Hine-Nui-Te-Po.
Rehua has also been seen as the lord of all light, and his children are the stars, sun and moon.
The father and mother of creation/all gods are personifications of the stages of creation; Te Kore, Te Po, etc
