False Advertising are a three-piece alternative rock group from Manchester and Oxford, England.

Biography
False Advertising was formed by Jen Hingley, Josh Sellers and Chris Warr in 2013. In April 2016 they were named winners of PRS’s Flash Funding award for live performance, in June 2016 they released a 7" single on Too Pure Singles Club. The band have received coverage by Total Guitar, The Skinny, This Is Fake DIY and Punktastic. As well as airplay on BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing. In 2016 they played Liverpool Sound City festival and Kendal Calling.
In November 2016 it was announced that the band are heading to officially showcase at SXSW in March 2017.
Jen Hingley's uncle is Tom Hingley, who was the singer of The Inspiral Carpets during the height of their fame.
