FRAFL is an Icelandic Visual Art Organisation that produces and manages art events and projects, i.e. exhibitions, festivals, performances, happenings etc.
FRAFL's objective is to approach the traditional art world with new methods and platforms, therefore creating new and different ways for young or emerging artist to enter the scene.
FRAFL approaches visual art productions and projects as project managers through project planning, funding, public relations, management of the framework, developing, producing and procedure managing, promotion, distribution and selling - giving the artists the time to work freely on their part of the project, namely creating their art.
In addition, FRAFL’ s objective is to bring visual art closer to the general public, share knowledge and stimulate discourse, explore new avenues, promote interdisciplinary methods, support collaboration and cooperation within the art scene, reach out for collaboration into other professional scenes, promote projects where visual art interwines with other art forms and to support different media than has hitherto been found in the general art market.
