FC Stroitel Pripyat (Russian: Футбольний Клуб Строитель Прип'ять) was a Ukrainian football club from Pripyat, Kiev Oblast. Founded in the 1970s, its home ground was the Avanhard Stadium (Ukrainian: Стадіон «Авангард»).

History

The club, whose name Stroitel means "builder", was founded in the middle of the 1970s and was mainly composed of players from the village of Chistohalivka, 4 km south of Pripyat. It started to take part in tournaments in 1981, and played in the KFK competition of Ukrainian SSR, the 2nd level of the Soviet Amateur Football League and the 5th level of the Soviet Union football league system.

FC Stroitel Pripyat Once Upon A Time Near Chernobyl Goalden Times

When the city of Pripyat was abandoned after the Chernobyl disaster of 1986, the new city of Slavutych was founded at the end of the same year to replace it. The football club was moved there, changing its name to FC Stroitel Slavutych in 1987. Its activities ceased after the end of 1988 season.
