Experience China (感知中国) is a serial culture event held by China's State Council Information Office in foreign countries. A variety of activities, including performances, Chinese film week, television week, forums, Chinese food festival,etc. , are held during the event. Usually jointly held by the Ministry of Culture and embassies of both countries, the event was held in France in 1999 for the first time. Then in U.S. in 2000, in Germany in 2001, in Russia in 2003, in Argentina in 2004, in South Korea in Sep. 2006, in South Africa in Nov. 2006, and in Israel in 2009.
In October 2010, the event was held in three cities of Turkey: Ancyra, Istanbul and Kayseri.
