Expander System Sweden AB is a Swedish company that designs, manufactures, and sells a pivot-pin system for commercial heavy machinery and equipment. Their headquarters is in Åtvidaberg, Sweden. It was founded in 1986 by Everth and Roger Svensson. The Expander Group includes two subsidiaries, Expander Americas Inc, in the United States, and Expander Deutschland GmbH, in Germany.
The expander system consists of patented products that are intended to take the place of conventional pivot pins in heavy machinery and equipment. Conventional pivot pins may wear in a way that requires a costly repair process for pivot lug holes, called line boring. The expander system uses expansion sleeves that can eliminate this wear problem.
