Eucalyptus sieberi, the Silvertop Ash or Black Ash is a common eucalyptus tree of south eastern Australia. The range of distribution is in the higher rainfall areas, from near sea level to high altitude. Growing on shallow soils of medium to low fertility, south from Morisset, New South Wales to Victoria and Tasmania.

It can grow to 45 metres in height, though is mostly seen between 15 and 30 metres tall. The tree can be identified by the black rough bark at the base, and the smooth cream upper branches.

The timber is used in general construction, flooring, decking, handles and woodchipping. One of the major species being converted to wood chips at Eden for export for writing paper production.
