Erwin Lawaty (23 May 1913? in Dąbrowa near Łódź – 6 December 2008) - was a Seventh-day Adventist, so the pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Poland.

Biography

His father was Catholic, and his mother was from an evangelical family, but in 1912 she was baptized as a Seventh-day Adventist and was a member of the Advent Christian Church. After Erwin has passed successful the gymnasium, he was baptized too as Seventh-day Adventist in Łódź in year 1930. In the same year he began a seminary in an Adventist-Seminar in Bielsko-Biała, which he finished after 3 years. During his seminary he began a relationship with Elfridę Czembor and married she on 5 October 1938 in Katowice.

In 1969 he emigrated for 3 years to the USA. 1972 he come to Germany where he was pastor leader in Göttingen and Altensteig.

He has also three sons: Ernest, Edward and Andrzej
