Erwin is a town in Kingsbury County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 45 at the 2010 census.
A post office has been in operation at Erwin since 1882. The town site was platted in 1887. James Erwin Hollister, an early postmaster, gave the town his name.

Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.7% of the population.
