Ernst Bunge (29 May 1914 – 12 May 1944) was a highly decorated Major of the Reserves in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Ernst Bunge was killed on 12 May 1944 near Chersones, Ukraine, during the Crimean Offensive.
