Ernest Romens(1904 - 1954) is a French athletic walker thirties. Three times winner of the extreme racewalking, Paris-Strasbourg march, in 1933, 1935 and 1937. At its third victory, he broke the legendary record of 300 km of road. He received dozens of telegrams fécilitations from the American alsatian community, who followed in the press, sports events of "their" Ernest.
