Ernest Campbell (priest)

Herbert Ernest Campbell (1856-1930) was an Anglican priest in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Prescott was educated at Exeter College, Oxford and ordained in 1879. After curacies in Brighton and London he was Vicar of Millom; Rector of Workington; Archdeacon of Furness; Vicar of Barrow-in-Furness; Archdeacon of Carlisle; and a Canon Residentiary at Carlisle Cathedral.

He died on 17 June 1930: his son was also Archdeacon of Carlisle.
