Erle Elsworth Clippinger (1864–1933) was a writer of children's literature, educator, and a grammaticist. His published works include Children's Literature: A Textbook of Sources for Teachers and Teacher-Training Classes, Illustrated Lessons in Composition and Rhetoric, and the two volume text Written and Spoken English: A Course in Composition and Rhetoric.
