Erie High School is a high school in Erie, Colorado, United States. It is a part of the Saint Vrain Valley School District.
Construction on the school was completed in 2005, and it began operation that fall. The school was formed by the separation of Erie Middle and High School. Currently there are over 900 students attending the school. With around 500 freshmen, the 2015–16 school year had the biggest freshman class ever in Erie.
The building itself was designed to honor the town of Erie's mining history, as the color scheme is of the color of coal, though the school colors are tiger orange and black.
In the fall of 2015, Erie High launched two new programs: the Erie Academy of Aerospace & Engineering and the AP Capstone programs.
Steven Payne was the principal of the school from 2001-2013. He retired in May 2013. Matthew Buchler is the current principal.
Erie High School has recently introduced a new soccer program for boys and girls, which enjoyed winning seasons in their first year.
Erie High School is nationally known for its softball team, which has many state championships to its credit.
Erie High School is also known for its Odyssey of the Mind program. In 2014 one team finished in 7th place in the annual World Finals in Ames, Iowa.
