Dr Eric Jensen is a specialist in non-visitor research, audience research and evaluation for informal learning and heritage institutions. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cambridge (UK) and teaches social research methods at the University of Warwick. He is the author of Doing Real Research: A Practical Guide to Social Research.

Jensen's journal articles have been published in Public Understanding of Science, Culture and Psychology, New Genetics & Society, Media, Culture & Society, and Psychology & Society. He wrote two chapters in Investigating Science Communication in the Information Age, published by the Oxford University Press. He is co-editor of Culture & Social Change: Transforming Society through the Power of Ideas (Information Age)], and contributing two original theoretical chapters.

Jensen is an Associate Education Fellow at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, he has advised and contributed to the EU-Zoos-XXI project at Durrell Wildlife Park. As a researcher, Jensen has contributed to recent (2013, 2015, and 2016) global survey projects, including evaluation of "Biodiversity Is Us".
