Erhard Jahnert (17 August 1917 – 23 July 2006) was a highly decorated Major in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. During his career he was credited with flying 622 missions. At the end of the war Erhard Jahnert was captured by British troops.
