Environment Conservation Group

Environment Conservation Group (ECG)

is a non-governmental organization based in Coimbatore, India. The group is active since 2009 and works towards conservation of the environment and wildlife. ECG was formed by a group of wildlife and environmental enthusiasts headed by environmental activist Mohammed Saleem.

The group is also involved in monitoring the wetlands of Coimbatore against dumping of debris and encroachments. ECG is also involved in wildlife conservation and rescuing birds from the wildlife trade. The group is involved in stopping the felling of trees and conducting awareness programmes.
