Ensanche Libertad, also known as Ensanche Benefactor, is a neighborhood in Santiago de los Caballeros, [1] Santiago Province, Dominican Republic.

Ensanche Libertad was created when dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo ordered a number of homes built to give them to widows and other people in need in the 1950s.
Later, during Juan Bosh's short tenure in the INAVI (Instituto Nacional de la Vivienda or National Housing Institute), yet another set of new homes was built also for poor people.
