Enjoy Public Art Gallery is a gallery space in Cuba Street arts area of Wellington, New Zealand.
Commonly known as 'Enjoy', the gallery was founded in 2000 by a group of artists as an artist-run space. Today it is managed as a non-commercial artist-run initiative, supported by Creative New Zealand and the Wellington City Council. It has also generated money through crowdsourcing.
The gallery employs a full-time Curator and Manager and a part-time Communications and Publications Manage. The gallery is governed byt a Board of Trustees, largely made up of Wellington-based artists.
Mission and Vision
Enjoy generates and facilitates contemporary art projects to promote the discourse of contemporary art practice in all its forms.
Enjoy is liberated from commercial constraints in order to provide both emerging and established practitioners with opportunities to develop innovative work. Enjoy works to provide the necessary critical support, resources, and audience development to realise quality projects in dialogue with contemporary practice both nationally and internationally.
