Enjil District is of the sixteen districts of the province, which encompasses several villages in the suburb area of Herat City. Most of the villages in Enjil are located in the western and northern part of the city. People in Enjil, mostly, are farmer, while some other work at Herat Industrial Town. The majority of people access to utilities and services that are accessible to other Heratians in the city. Some of the most famous fruits of Herat City, and even the international export fruit, come from Enjil District. Herat is famous for its grape across the country and the Middle East, which mostly comes from a village in Enjil called, Seiow-Shaan, in Dari: سیوشان. A large part of Herat Saffron is being farmed in the area.
