Engleside Christian School is a Pre-kindergarten through 6th grade primary private school in Alexandria, Virginia. It is Baptist by affiliation and a member of the Old Dominion Association of Christian Schools, a chapter of the AACS.

Engleside Christian School (ECS) offers its students dedicated Christian teachers and favorable teacher to student ratios. ECS uses a phonics based reading program and advanced curriculum with technology integration, but provides a well rounded experience with quality music programs and various service opportunities. There are daily Bible classes as well as a weekly chapel program. As a religious program, ECS and its various programs are exempt from state licensure.

Before and After School Care

To assist with the needs of parents, ECS also offers before and after school care for an additional fee per student. Parents may choose to enroll their child in either the before or after school program or both, if needed.

The before school program opens at 6:30 AM and runs until the school days begins at 8:00 AM. At this time, the students will be picked up by their teachers and escorted to their classrooms. Students may bring a breakfast with them to eat during the before school program since the cafeteria will not be open.

The after school program begins at 3:25 PM once the children have been escorted and signed in by their teachers. The after school program is unstructured and allows the children time to interact with fellow students or due homework. There is an allotted snack time for the children and limited items may be purchased from the cafeteria. Any adults who pick up children from the after school program must present a photo ID to program supervisor when asked.
