Engenho dos Erasmos

Engenho dos Erasmos was the first Dutch sugar cane facility in Brazil, ruled by Erasmus de Schetz in São Vicente, Brazil. After its decay the sugar cane industry would spread in Northeastern Brazil, in Pernambuco.
