Emory International Law Review ("EILR") is a student-edited and produced law review published by the Emory University School of Law. EILR publishes articles and essays submitted by professionals and students from around the world on a vast array of topics ranging from human rights to international intellectual property issues. EILR is edited entirely by students.
Students obtain admission to EILR through a "write-on" process at the end of each academic year, which is conducted by EILR, Emory Law Journal, and the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. Of the nearly two-hundred students that participate in the intra-journal write-on each year, twenty to thirty-five are invited to join as candidates. Those selected candidates join the elevated staff members from the previous year to form EILR's Editorial Board. Nine of these students constitute the Executive Board, which is elected each March.
The Emory International Law Review began its publishing life under the title "Emory Journal of International Dispute Resolution" for its first three volumes (1986–89). Its Bluebook T.13 abbreviation is Emory Int'l L. Rev.
