Emmaus College is a Roman Catholic, Coeducational, Private secondary college which serves the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. The school has a Main Campus (years 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12) in Vermont South and a Year 9 campus in Burwood. It has a population of approximately 1200 students and slowly growing. Emmaus College is a member of the EISM Sporting Association (joined in 1989).It is One Of The Many Schools that participate in the EISM competition. Emmaus has enjoyed much success in the EISM competition for various sports

History
Emmaus College was established in February 1980 through the merger of St Thomas More's Boys College in Vermont South (1968–1979) and Chavoin's all Girls College in Burwood (1966–1979). Emmaus College was the first co-educational secondary college in the Archdiocese of Melbourne to be formed from the union of an all-boys school with an all-girls school.
Academics
In 2009, Emmaus College achieved a 100% pass rate and all Year 12 students were qualified for tertiary entrance, Emmaus College's 2009 VCE results were above state average. Median Study Score was 32 (State's average is 30) and 9% all study scores were at or above 40 (Placing students in the top 8% in the state, state's median is 5%). Using these figures, in 2009, Emmaus College was placed in the top 20% out of 523 Victorian Secondary Schools and was the best performed class for a Victorian Catholic Co-educational school.
