Emilio Ariel Aldama (born 21 June 1977) is a Paraguayan former professional footballer who played in Paraguay and Turkey.

Career

Born in Asunción, Aldama began playing football as a defender with local Club Nacional. In 2000, he moved to Turkey where he had a spell in the Süper Lig with Göztepe A.Ş..

While playing for San Lorenzo in 2001, Aldama was involved in an on-pitch altercation with players from Sportivo Luqueño and received a 30-month ban from the Paraguayan Football Association. However, his suspension was lifted in February 2003. After returning to play with San Lorenzo, Aldama transferred back to his first club, Nacional, where he became the captain.

After he retired from playing, Aldama graduated from Paraguay's national sports management program (ENEF) and became a football coach. He coached Nacional's youth side.
