Elwood Stanley Brown (April 9, 1883 – March 24, 1924) was an American college basketball coach for the University of Illinois from 1905 to 1906.

Brown is also credited for the development of the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation (PAAF) the Far Eastern Athletic Association (FEAA) and the Inter-Allied Games. As the physical director of the American YMCA in Manila, Philippines, Brown is credited for introducing volleyball and basketball to the Philippines in 1910.

Elwood Brown played a landmark role in the history of Boy Scouting in the Philippines.

Brown died of complications from a heart attack on March 24, 1924, three weeks prior to his 41st birthday.
