Elsie Roxborough (died 1949) was an upper class Detroit socialite who briefly dated Langston Hughes. She was the first African-American to live in the dormitories of the University of Michigan. She later changed her name to Mona Manet, with the intent of passing as White. After her father disowned her, she committed suicide.
