Elena Butnaru (born (1975 -04-27)27 April 1975) is a retired Romanian female volleyball player, who played as a middle blocker. She was part of the Romania women's national volleyball team at the 2002 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Germany. She also competed at the 2001 Women's European Volleyball Championship and 2005 Women's European Volleyball Championship. On club level she played with Pallavolo Palermo.
